Sleeping is an essential component of our health and when it goes array it can be very debilitating and harmful.  Moira is very aware of the importance of obtaining adequate sleep for the maintenance of physical and mental health.

Moira has had extensive experience within the sleep field and is very active as a clinician, researcher and podcaster. She is a current board member of the Sleep Health Foundation and is also an active member of the Australasian Sleep Association.  Moira has written chapters and peer-reviewed journal articles on the non-drug treatment of insomnia and has helped thousands of individuals manage their sleep difficulties.

She uses cognitive behaviour therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and hypnosis as her therapeutic tools.

She sees individuals and groups for psychological assessment and treatment of insomnia, parasomnias (such as nightmares, bed-wetting, sleep walking), and hypersomnia (when people are very sleepy and tired and have difficulty staying awake, and don’t feel refreshed by their sleep).

She is an excellent sleeper most of the time but has to apply to herself the principles and strategies she teaches her clients.
